Greyland visit ALPLA Golborne site

We recently visited the ALPLA Golborne site, where we toured the facilities and learned about the company’s sustainability initiatives and production processes. As a partner of ALPLA, it was a great way to see what happens behind the scenes and how our unique 51% UK recycled polymer containers are made.

ALPLA is a global leader in sustainable plastic packaging solutions, committed to reducing environmental impact through innovation and circular economy practices. The company focuses on lightweight packaging designs , increased use of recycled materials, and closed loop recycling systems. ALPLA invests in state-of-the-art recycling plants and collaborates with partners across the value chain to promote responsible resource use, aiming to create fully recyclable packaging and significantly lower carbon emissions across its operations.

We are proud to have an exclusive and unique partnership with ALPLA as it has allowed us to increase our recycled content in our packaging starting at 25% initially, to now reaching 51%! This collaboration has not only reduced our reliance on virgin plastics but also minimizes the carbon footprint associated with importing recycled materials from abroad. By utilising domestically sourced recycled polymers, Greyland supports a closed loop recycling system, aligning with our broader strategy to lessen the environmental impact of the cleaning industry.
