Maintenance Engineer

Work typically involves:

  • planning & undertaking scheduled maintenance
  • responding to breakdowns
  • diagnosing faults
  • repairing equipment 
  • supervising engineering and technical staff
  • obtaining specialist components, fixtures or fittings 
  • managing budgets 
  • maintaining service & maintenance records 
  • competent use of IT systems 
  • ensuring compliance with H&S legislation 
  • creating maintenance procedures
  • managing stocks of supplies & equipment

Key skills

  • relevant  technical knowledge 
  • problem solving skills 
  • efficiency & organisation

  • mechanical engineering experience

Shift: 

08:00 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday 

07:00 - 15:30 Fridays

You may be required to work outside of these hours if there is a requirement. 

 

Salary: £27,000 - £32,000

Depending on experience and range of skills

Factory Operative

Essential requirements:

  • good communication skills
  • punctuality
  • positive work ethic
  • organisational skills 
  • ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • attention to detail
  • ability to load folling machines in line with respective operating instructions
  • pick and pack product cartons for despatch
  • ensure products being produced meets the customer order and specification
  • ensure batch codes are printed onto containers to enable traceability
  • follow established working H&S practices and Safe Systems of Work
  • be responsible for good housekeeping 
  • to wear all of the correct PPE/RPE at all times
  • achieve daily workload objectives

Desirable requirements:

  • Reach and/or Counterbalance FLT licenses
  • H&S knowledge
  • ability to learn and develop beyond current role
  • qualitty assurance understanding
  • excellent customer focus

 

 

Shift: 

08:00 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday 

07:00 - 15:30 Fridays

Overtime is an expected part of the working week, when customer demand requires it.

Hourly rate: from minimum wage
